In a surprising twist, the Animal Crossing DLC was released a day early and is now available for purchase or as a download through your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion. As a side note, Nintendo did say that this would be the only paid DLC coming to Animal Crossing so short of bug fixes, this should be it for new additions to the game.
