Niantic has just revealed new shadow versions of Lugia and Ho-Oh as their Season of Heritage story continues. These two Pokémon are Apex Shadow versions making them stronger than their previous shadow forms and purifying them will make them stronger still. In addition, those who complete the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto's Special Research will unlock a new type of research called Masterwork. Completing this will allow you to catch both of these Pokémon.
