In a post titled "Continuing to evolve our business and teams" on the official site, EA has continued the recent trend of laying off some of their team. According to CEO Andrew Wilson they're letting go of 5% of their workforce. In a separate post from Laura Miele, they detail a little more of what this means. Respawn's Star Wars FPS is cancelled. Marcus Lehto is leaving Battlefield and Ridgeline is shutting down with "some" joining Ripple Effect to continue work on Battlefield with Criterion and DICE. The post continues to say that Mobile is going to be a focus for them and that they're shutting down Kim Kardashian Hollywood, Lord of the Rings, Tap Sports Baseball, and F1 Mobile. It's full of corporate speak, but if you want to read their full posts have at it: Continuing to evolve our business and teams
