Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is tweaking how Bleed works in the game. Previously, getting the Bleed status meant you took damage whenever you made an action. Now, actions will fill the Bleed Gauge and getting hit, presumably when the gauge is full, will deal some more damage to you. In essence this sounds a lot like how Bleed works in Elden Ring and the other Dark Souls games. As it's been for the last couple games, crouching will cure the Bleed status.
