The next Mortal Kombat has been announced and it's Mortal Kombat 1. According to their FAQ the game is going back to the beginning, literally. Fire God Liu Kang has created a new Mortal Kombat Universe which will take the series back to the start. Returning characters include Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, and Johnny Cage. Also touted are a new fighting system and game modes. From the trailer above, the new game looks every bit as gory as the previous titles. Mortal Kombat 1 will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19th.
